Attention Staff, Students, Parents and Community Members,
The Mapleton School Board is embarking on our search to replace our irreplaceable Superintendent Jodi O’Mara (who is retiring at the end of this school year) and we need your help!
On Monday, February 14th, our Search Consultants will be hosting 30-minute Zoom Focus Groups to get your input about our district and our community- as well as to gather your thoughts about the attributes you would like to see in our next Superintendent.
There will be 4 Focus Groups comprised of no more than 6 participants per group. Please email Carly at cduval@mapleton.k12.or.us by 3 PM on Friday if you are interested and available to participate. Include your name, your role in the district (classified, licensed, student, parent/community member) and your email address and if you are selected Carly will send you a zoom link before noon on Monday.
The timeslots on Monday, February 14th are:
2:00 PM Classified Staff
2:45 PM Parents and Community Members
3:45 PM Students (8th through 12th graders welcome to apply) and also at
3:45 PM Licensed Staff
There are 6 slots available to each group; if there is more interest than space available, we will use a lottery to determine who participates. But if you are don’t get a spot, don’t despair! Everyone in our district and community will have an opportunity to complete an online survey (or pick up and return a paper copy from the district office). That survey will be available soon, and will be open through February 15th.
