Did you know?
Healthy school attendance is 90% or above, which means no more than 1 absence every 3 weeks.
Students with healthy attendance are much more likely to earn strong grades, graduate on time, and
experience success in college/career. This is a huge district priority, and we are here to partner with you – please let us know if you are experiencing barriers to attendance we can work through as a team.

Our district has recently updated its cell phone policy due to overwhelming evidence about the
academic, mental health, and social benefits of limiting screen time for K-12 students. We are asking for your partnership to support your student’s learning and well-being as we implement this important new policy. Please see previous ParentSquare post for more information and policy details.

Beginning September 5, 2023:
1. Students may not use cell phones, iPads, or other personal electronic devices during class time for any reason.  Use in the hallway or restroom during class time is also prohibited.
2. Cell phones must be turned off and secured in either the student’s locker or in their backpacks (they may not be kept in pockets or on desks).
3. Students may use their phone before school, during passing time and breaks, and after school.

District-Wide Values: Last year, our MS/HS students and staff partnered to create 4 school-wide values.
This year, our elementary team has adopted them as well. We’re pleased to introduce our 4 district-wide values, which will be the basis for how we teach students expectations and support them in being positive community members. We ask that you talk with your student about what these values mean and how they can be successful in demonstrating them this year!
