Senior Spotlight: Brooklyn Beecher

Brooklyn attended Mapleton for one year in kindergarten and then rejoined Mapleton High School partway through her ninth-grade year. While at MHS, she participated and lettered in track and field, basketball, and cross country. She also worked in the MHS coffee shop and concession stand to help with fundraising efforts.

Brooklyn’s favorite class has been Political Science because she enjoys history and learned a great deal from the course. Mr. Blanchard is Brooklyn’s favorite teacher because, in her words, “he is kind, legit, and also an interesting character.”

One of Brooklyn’s favorite memories was being voted Prom Princess, and one funny memory was seeing Coach Vanessa get “pied” in the face during a fundraising event.

After high school, Brooklyn plans to attend Bushnell University, where she will study business and pre-law. Her business classes will come in handy, as she has already started building an online business as part of her senior project.

Brooklyn’s advice to her peers comes from AC/DC: “It’s a long way to the top if you want to rock and roll!”

Brooklyn, thank you for sharing your beautiful artistic talents and for always being willing to stop what you are doing to help others. You are a generous soul, and we are better because of the talents you share so freely.
